ROHM Semiconductor designs and manufactures semiconductors, integrated circuits, and other electronic components for the wireless, computer, automotive, and consumer electronics markets. ROHM Semiconductor′s product portfolio ranges from audio/video ICs, wireless audio links, image sensors, noise protection discretes, memory products with double-cell technology, energy-efficient power management components, and LEDs.Rohm Co., Ltd. was founded in September 17,1958.The headquarter is located in Kyoto, Japan.Rohm focus much attention on the transistors,diodes,ICs and other semiconductor products.Rohm's sales offices are in China, Korea, singapore, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Germany, France, the United Kindom, Finland, Spain, Hungary, Poland, Russia and in the United States. Rohm's manufacturing centers are mainly in Asia.The R&D centers are in Europe, Korea and American. Rohm's products line includes transistors,diodes,light emitting diodes,laser diodes, resistors, tantalum,capacitors, thermal heads,multiline sensor, LED displays, monolithic ICs, power modules, photo link modules.As a small manufacturer of electronic components started in Kyoto,Rohm into the transistors, diodes and ICs fields gradually.Rohm as the first Japanese company to enter the U.S. Silicon Valley, opened the IC design center in Silicon Valley.They have received ISO9001 Certification and ISO14001 Environmental Management System Certification.And then Rohm developed REAL SOCKET? a revolutionary concept in system LSI design technology in 2000.After seven years they obtained ISO/IEC 17025 Accreditation to Laboratory and developed the world's smallest and thinnest ultra-compact LED "PICOLEDTM[picoled]" in the same year. Company Mission
"R" represents the first letter of our original main product, Resistors. This was put together with the unit for resistance " ohm". The "R" now also stands for "Reliability". "Quality First" is ROHM's corporate policy.
