The NCP1117 series, including the NCP1117DT50G, is designed to meet the demand for low dropout positive linear voltage regulators capable of delivering an output current exceeding 1.0 A. With a maximum dropout voltage of 1.2 V at 800 mA over temperature, these regulators ensure stable and reliable performance across various operating conditions. The series offers eight fixed output voltages ranging from 1.5 V to 12 V, as well as an adjustable output version that can be programmed from 1.25 V to 18.8 V using external resistors. On chip trimming technology maintains an output voltage accuracy within +/- 1.0%, enhancing overall precision. Furthermore, internal protection features such as output current limiting, safe operating area compensation, and thermal shutdown contribute to the safety and robustness of the device. Operating with up to 20 V input, the NCP1117 series is suitable for a wide range of power supply applications and is available in SOT223 and DPAK packages, offering options for different system designs
